We do not share contact records with advertising networks. Client engagement materials are handled on a private, on-premise system we own — not on any commercial cloud LLM platform.

This Privacy Policy describes how DoD Industry Advisor — a service of MDK Innovations LLC, a Virginia-domiciled small business — collects, uses, and shares information when you visit dodindustryadvisor.com, subscribe to our newsletter, submit a contact form, or correspond with us.
This policy covers website visitors and prospective clients. Information handling during active client engagements is governed by our Data Handling commitments and the mutual non-disclosure agreement that precedes every engagement.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact details (name, email, organization, role) submitted through contact forms, the Capture Readiness Assessment inquiry, or newsletter signups.
- Content you include in correspondence with us by email or web form.
- Any information you choose to provide on a discovery call or in pre-NDA conversation.
Information collected automatically
- Standard web analytics: pages visited, referring URL, approximate location (city level), browser/device type, session duration.
- Cookies set by our analytics and marketing tools (see Cookies below).
Information from third-party services
- If you sign in or engage with us via LinkedIn, your LinkedIn profile data (name, headline, public profile photo) per the scopes you authorize.
- HubSpot enrichment data on submitted contact records (publicly available firmographics; never purchased contact lists).
How we use information
- Respond to inquiries, scope prospective engagements, and conduct pre-NDA conversations.
- Deliver requested content — newsletter, whitepapers, intelligence briefings.
- Improve our website and content based on aggregate visitor patterns.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations (including federal contracting compliance).
- For active clients, solely to perform the contracted advisory work as scoped in the engagement letter.
Client engagement data — separate handling
Information you share with us during an active client engagement — capture strategies, technical materials, pricing logic, proposal content, financials — is governed by a different and stricter regime than this Privacy Policy.
Our Data Handling commitments describe that regime in detail. In summary: all client materials are processed on a private, on-premise AI enclave we own and control; no client information is ever exposed to ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or any other commercial LLM; engagement retrieval indexes are purged on engagement close; and we will not train any model on client data.
Data security
The website is hosted on Cloudflare with TLS in transit and standard production hardening. Contact-form submissions are processed by HubSpot under HubSpot's security program. Client engagement materials are isolated on our private enclave with engagement-scoped access controls. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any system, but we apply commercially reasonable safeguards and follow practices appropriate to a defense-industry advisor.
Data retention
- Site analytics: retained per Google Analytics 4 default (currently 14 months) unless you request earlier deletion.
- Contact-form submissions and CRM records: retained until you request deletion or for the duration we may foreseeably need them to respond to your inquiry or maintain the relationship.
- Newsletter list: retained until you unsubscribe.
- Client engagement data: per the engagement letter and Data Handling commitments — typically purged at engagement close.
Your rights
You may request, at any time:
- Access — a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — we will correct inaccurate or incomplete records.
- Deletion — subject to limited exceptions for records we are required to retain by law or contract.
- Opt-out — you may unsubscribe from our newsletter or marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing us.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and EU/UK residents (GDPR) have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to non-discrimination for exercising rights, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Children
This site is intended for business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.
